Outcome

outcome- one possible result of a probablity experiment...

Probability

Probability- can be expressed using fractions, ratios or precents...

Mean, Median and Mode

Measures of central tendency- A value that represents the centre of the data set (Mean, Median or Mode)
Data set is a group of numbers that you must arrange in order least to greatest.

example-
2 8 4 8 6 5 1 1 6 4 9
1 1 2 4 4 5 6 6 8 8 9

Mean- a measure of central tendency; the sum of a set of values divided by the number of values in the set.

example-
 3 4 9 8
3+4+9+8=24
24 divided by 4 is..
6 --- So that means 6 is the mean.

Median- The middle number in a set of data after the data has been arranged in order.

example-
9 8 5 2 3
2 3 5 8 9 ----in this the middle is 5. so the median would be 5

3 6 7 8 9 5 7 9
3 5 6 6 7 7 8 9 ---- in this there are 2 middles... or none. So in this case 6 and 7 are in the middle so then the median would be 6.5

Mode- the most frequently occurring number in a Data set.

example-
3 5 6 8 4 8 9 8
3 4 5 6 8 8 8 9 ----- the number that appears most is 8... so then the mode is 8

Here's a Question....

Here's the answer....

If you got this correct, then CONGRATS!! You know how to do Mean, Median, and Mode! YOUR WELCOME :)

How to find an Outlier!

Outlier- A value that is much larger or smaller than the other data value. (For short the "weird" number)
The data set may have more than 1 outlier or zero outliers.

For example:

Outliers- 1, 67, 68, 64, 65, 100
The Outliers are 1 and 100 since all the other numbers there are in the sixtys.

Here's another example for you:

Outliers- 3, 8, 4, 5, 9, 33, 5, 6
The Outlier would be 33 since all the other digits are all related by one digit.

Geometry: Circles

This picture shows you the parts of a circle
-In sets of colour:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- The diameter is a line across the centre that touches both ends of the circle!

- The radius is the distance from the centre of the circle to it's outer edge. (Also known as "Radii"

- The circumference of the circle is it's outer shape. (Well you get the point, it's pretty much the whole circle.)

- The arc of a circle is just a part of it's circumference.

- Lastly in this picture is the sector of the circle is the part where it's all yellow, honestly 2 radius much corner a section of the circle like a slice of pizza and what's left is the sector.

How to find the Range

Range- The positive difference between the largest and smallest values in a data set.

Range of 4, 8, 5, 6, 9, 1, 3, 5, 8, 9

Step 1. Find the largest and smallest number which is 9 and 1
Step 2. Than get the largest digit and than the smallest digit subtracts the biggest digit. (9-1=8)

The answer is 8, so there you go! Simple and easy Hope you enjoyed!

How to do a Mean!

Well first you should know what it means.

Mean- A measure of central tendency,
The sum of a set of values divided by the number of values in the set.

Here is a solution and answer!

Mean of 6, 4, 8

1. Now add up all the numbers which makes (6+4+8=18)
2. Now divide the result by how many numbers there are (18 divided by 3 makes 6)
3. Therefor the mean is 6
