2 types of Probabilty

Experimental probability- actually doing the trails.
Theoretical probability- what you expect to happen.
\

Mean,Median,Mode,Range,and Outlier

MEAN- add up all values divided by how many values there are.
MEDIAN- the middle number in a set of ordered values, might be the mean of 2 middle values.
MODE- the value that shows up the most.
RANGE- positive difference between largest and smallest value.
OUTLIER- values that are too big or too small compare to the other values.

Subtracting Mixed numbers with Like denominators

Question: 3 6/10 - 2 1/10=??

step 1: Deal with the fraction first.

6/10 - 1/10= 5/10 = 1/2

step 2: Deal with the whole numbers.

3-2=1

step 3: Combine the fraction and the whole number.

the answer is 1 1/2

Adding Mixed Number with Like Denominator

Mixed Number is made up of a whole numbers and a fraction.

For example: 2 3/12 + 1 8/12=??

step 1: Deal with the fraction first.

3/12 + 8/12= 11/12

step 2: Deal with the whole numbers.

Multiples

Multiple - the product of any given number and natural numbers like 1,2,3.
example: multiples of 5 are: 5,10,15,20,25,30,35,40,45

The first five multiples of each number:
2 - 2,4,6,8,10
3 - 3,6,9,12,15
4 - 4,8,12,16,20
5 - 5,10,15,20,25

DENOMINATOR AND NUMERATOR

Denominator is the bottom number of a fraction and tell us how many equal parts the whole is divided into.

example:

3/ 4

4 is the denominator.

Numerator is the top number of a fraction and tell us how many parts of the whole we have or dealing with.

example:

5/ 6

5 is the numerator.

Divisibility Rule for 5

Rule for 5 are the numbers ending 5 and 0 (zero).

For example:

Is the 5615 divisible by 5?

Yes because its ends with 5.

Is the 7840 divisible by 5?

Yes because its ends with 0 (zero).

Here is the picture and video!!

Divisibility Rule for 10

Rule for 10 are the numbers ending with 0 (zero).

For example:

Is the 2560 divisible by 10?

Yes! because it ends with 0 (zero).

Is the 5648 divisible by 10?

No! because it ends with 8 and its suppose to be 0. So its not divisible by 10.

Here is the picture and video!!

Divisibility Rule for 3

Rule for 3 are all whole numbers who`s sum are divisible by 3.

For example:

Is the 2601 divisible by 3?

Yes! because 2+6+0+1=9 and 9 is multiple by 3.

Is the 4567 divisible by 3?

No! because 4+5+6+7= 22 and 22 is not multiple of 3.
