Acute angle - less than 90 degrees
All of these examples are Acute Angles
Obtuse Angle - greater than 90 degrees
- less than 180 degrees
These are examples of Obtuse Angles
Angle Bisector - a line that divides an angle into two equal parts.
- equal angles are marked with the same symbol.
Mode - the most frequently occurring numbers in a set of data.
example:
3,5,7,7,9 the mode is 7
4,4,4,8,8,8,8,9,15 the mode is 8
6,13,18,19,21, there is no mode
24,24,24,38,38,38,47,47,47 there is no mode
Circle Graphs
- a graph that represents data using sections of a circle.
This is an example of a circle graph:
Food - 33%
Rent - 25%
Misc - 21%
Clothes - 15%
Savings - 6%
If you add them it equals to 100. Every graph is equals to 100.
Perpendicular Lines:
-lines in the same plane that intersect 90 degrees angle.

Adding Mixed Numbers with like Denominator
For example: 4 2/6 + 3 3/6
Step 1: Deal with fraction.
2/6 + 3/6 = 5/6
Step 2: Deal with whole numbers.
4 + 3 = 7
Step 3: Combine the fraction and the whole number.
7 5/6
Qoutient - is the result or answer to a division question.
eg. 12 / 2 = 6
6 is the qoutient.
(/ = divided by)
Subtracting Mixed Numbers with like Denominator
For example: 5 6/8 - 3 3/8
Step 1: Deal with fraction.
6/8 - 3/8 = 3/8
Step 2: Deal with whole numbers.
5 - 3 = 2
Step 3: Combine the fraction and the whole number.
2 3/8
Numerator - is the top number of a fraction and tells us how many parts the whole we have or are dealing with.
6 <-------- numerator
-
10
Improper Fraction - is a fraction that has a greater numerator than the denomitor such as 9/8 or 5/2 or 117/3.
Here is a helpful
Link.
Variable - is a letter that represent an unknown number.

Multiple - the product of any given number and natural numbers like 1,2,3.
example: multiples of 10 are: 10,20,30,40,50,60
The first five multiples of each number:
2 - 2,4,6,8,10
3 - 3,6,9,12,15
4 - 4,8,12,16,20
5 - 5,10,15,20,25
6 - 6,12,18,24,30
7 - 7,14,21,28,35
8 - 8,16,24,32,40
9 - 9,18,27,36,45
10 - 10,20,30,40,50
Denominator - the bottom number of a fraction and tells us how many equal parts the whole is divided.

6 <-------- denominator
Adding Fractions with like denominators:
example:
1/6 + 4/6
Look at the denominator first, if the denominator is the same you just have to add the numerator.

Divisibility Rule for 6
Rule for 6 - if the number is divisible by 2 and 3 it is divisible by 6.
example1:
6643854 = it is divisible by 2
6643854 = 36 = 9, 9 is divisible by 3
So 6643854 is divisible by 6 because it is BOTH divisible by 2 and 3.
example2:
5466495 = it is not divisible by 2, don't even try 3 because it is not divisible by 2.
So 5466495 is not divisible by 6.
