What are factors?

A Common Factor - a number that two or more numbers are divisible by.
              e.g. 4 is a common factor of 8 and 12

A Factor - is a number that can go into another number with no remainder


                   


                       12÷2=6
                12 is divisible by 2
                 2 is a factor of 12










The G.C.M. (Greatest Common Factor) - the number with the greatest value that two or more numbers are divisible by.
